29 STRINGS - it is the name of the young bluegrass music band from the Little Carpathian Mountains region in the western part of Slovakia. The band was founded in summer 1998. The repertoire of the band is various and consists of traditional and contemporary bluegrass songs and also of some original songs and instrumentals. The band performs at concerts and music festivals all around Slovakia and in Europe, too. In November 2001 the band has recorded sample recording with only few numbers including two original songs. The band was awarded The band of the Year 1999 and 2000 in the annually awards of the Slovak bluegrass music association (SkBMA).
